The Savage/S-40 line of single cylinder "thumpers" has a solid, proven design that has been sucessfully made by Suzuki for decades. It is the only bike in its price range to give you a low maintenance belt drive and massive amounts of low end torque. Low mileage, low priced pristene copies of these bikes are readily avaliable in most markets. These factors, coupled with a Trinity conversion means you can have a finished, dressed out trike for well under $10,000!! That makes the Savage/S-40 one of the very best choices for a "low end" trike conversion -- and with the Trinity, the only thing "low" is the cost to you!

The Trinity conversion gives you an even lower seat height than stock and therefore it rides and handles even better than it looks! It is very comfortable for a somewhat smaller bike and the counterbalanced one cylinder engine puts the "cruise" into "cruiser" at a really economical price. Since it will run at interstate speeds all day long, this is the perfect starter trike for beginners and it is most certainly a keeper trike for the vertically challanged riders.

As a side note, the yellow trike below was the first Trinity Trike conversion that was done with something other than bare metal or polishing on the rear assembly. (This is best seen in the first & second pictures on the thumbnails below) In addition to the fenders, the owner painted the axle tubes and all of the bright diamond plate (i.e. on the fender skirts and the cover plate over the swingarm). It ties everything together very nicely! And the tradtional white/grey model in the second row dresses out equally well.
